Budge
Budge reminds you to take a five-minute movement break through the workday. This page answers the common questions and tells you how to reach us.
Email us and we reply within two working days:
Reminders are not arriving
- Open Budge and check the Home screen shows a next reminder time. "Off" means notifications are not allowed yet.
- In Budge, go to Menu, Settings and tap "Send a test reminder in 1 minute". Lock the phone and wait.
- If the test does not arrive, open the iPhone Settings app, then Notifications, Budge, and turn on Allow Notifications.
- A Focus mode such as Work or Sleep can hold reminders back. In Budge Settings, turn on "Break through Focus modes", then allow Budge in that Focus.
Reminders arrive outside my hours
Budge only reminds you inside the working hours and days set in Settings (09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, every 30 minutes, until you change them). "Remind me for the next 4 hours" on Home starts a session outside those hours; stop it from the same screen.
Friends
Friends is optional. You invite someone with a six-character code from Menu, Invite a friend, and they join with "I have a code". Each of you then gets one short notification a day, when the other takes their first break. Friends never see your schedule, how many breaks you take or your habits.
To stop, open Menu, tap the friends count, then Turn off Friends. That removes you from every friend and deletes your name from our server. Our privacy policy has the detail.
Refunds
Apple handles payment for Budge, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Not medical advice
Budge is a reminder. If you have a health condition, check with your doctor before changing how active you are.
